It is linked to the mainland by bridge. The island is a major centre for rock climbing on its granite sea-cliffs; the 2002 guidebook lists about 27 single-pitch climbs, mostly established in 1985. Since 2007 another 300 rock climbs have been recorded on the granite sea cliffs all over the island ==Culture== Cruit Island has a strong musical heritage.
